IoT innovations at CES 2024

Traditionally the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) gathers the tech world, showcasing the latest digital inventions, with new announcements of computers, smartphones and other devices and products in various fields. And IoT is already a big part of it. This year’s edition, held in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12, was filled with numerous new IoT offerings too and leading technology companies showcased innovative products in this field. Here are some of the most interesting products that were presented:

Kohler

The company, known for its innovations in every edition of CES, presented a lot of new smart home devices, including new shower with a movable, rechargeable massage element. The new product, called SpaViva Handshower and Cleansing Device, is equipped with two types of showers. The first infuses the water with air to help retain heat, while the other is a microbubble sprayer that provides deep skin cleansing.

Hurotics

Leading robotics company Hurotics from South Korea presented its new line of wearable products, which are specially designed to facilitate rehabilitation and sports training, expanding human mobility. Among them was Hurotics H-Flex – an assistant and wearable exoskeleton that is ideal for people who want to improve their speed and efficiency. This award winning product, with its smart design and AI assistance, focuses on gluteus training.

Pet Bed from CarePet

The company CarePet presented an innovative pet bed that continuously monitors diseases and preventive health activities for pets. It allows users to collect and track data about their pets while they sleep. The bed is equipped with sensors that can detect changes in pet behavior and health.

Robotic Dog Companion Oro

At CES 2024, Ogmen Robotics presented Oro – a robotic dog companion equipped with high-tech features. The device has two-way audio and an interactive video screen, allowing owners to interact live with their dogs from any point.

The robot can throw balls and track the dog continuously, thanks to an advanced camera and lidar-based mapping system. In addition, Oro is equipped with a food dispenser that can release food on a schedule or on command if you are absent during the dog’s regular feeding time.

Wearable Products from WIRobotics

Robot manufacturer WIRobotics presented its new line of wearable products, including an innovative exoskeleton designed for people with disabilities and elderly, that eases walking. The WIRobotics exoskeleton is equipped with dynamic interaction technology, including flexible mechanisms driven by rear actuators and high-performance force-sensitive sensors. This technology allows the exoskeleton to interact safely with people and improve mobility.

Smart Insoles from SoleCooler

SoleCooler presented its innovative insoles, which are battery-connected and warn of impending blisters. The SoleCooler insoles, called Climfeet, are equipped with multiple air-filled cells that directly convert the energy from your steps into heat and cold. They can keep your feet warm in cold weather while creating freshness during the summer periods.
