McGill Microwave Systems 7.5 DBI Tuned Antenna (US 915)

The antenna is specially tuned to offer better performance compared to other non-optimized VSWR antenna designs. It offers more than 7% forward power transmission compared to non-optimized VSWR designs.

This McGill Microwave Systems antenna is tuned to operate in the US 915 frequency band. This is a better choice because unlike other universal designs, the special tune allows for better overall performance. Another benefit is that it operates within local regulations. On the other hand, universal antennas often bring non-optimized performance for all frequencies and thus poorer HNT earning via the Helium network.

The McGill Microwave Systems antenna operates in the following frequency range: 902 – 929 MHz US 915, US 902-928, AU 915, NZ 915, AS 923-1/2/3, KR 920. It has 50W maximum power and vertical polarization.

The new design has a 7.5 dBi gain. It also offers more than 7% more transmitted power as it has a 1.5:1 VSWR and reduced mis-match loss. This is when compared to many commercially available 2:1 VSWR designs.

This McGill Microwave Systems antenna uses a standard N Male connector and is rated for wind speeds of up to 126 km/h. The antenna’s diameter is 38mm and its height is 1600mm. Weight is 2.5kg and operating range is between -40C to +55C. There’s a mounting bracket included in the package.
