Milesight Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor EM500-UDL

The Milesight Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor EM500-UDL sensor offers highly accurate level and distance measurements. It uses ultrasonic waves which are reflected by nearby objects to provide high precision results in a variety of conditions.

You can use the EM500-UDL as a part of a IoT (Internet of Things) system or separately. It’s suitable for flood monitoring, snow level monitoring, fill levels in containers or tanks.

The Milesight Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor EM500-UDL is LoRaWAN certified. You can use it in these frequencies: CN470/RU864/IN865/EU868/US915/AU915/KR920/AS923. The Tx Power is 20dBm and sensitivity is -137dBm @300bps.

The measuring range is between 0.3 and 5m for the W050 version of the sensor and between 0.5-10m for the W100 version. Snow level detection is customizable. Measurements are within 1mm and accuracy is ±1%.

The sensor features ultra-low power consumption and a 19000 mAh Li-SOCL2 battery. This means it can operate for up to 10 years. Despite that, the measurements are 156.1 × 71 × 69.5 mm and operating temperature range is between -30°C to +65°C. This makes the EM500-UDL suitable for a range of uses including under harsh conditions. It’s also IP66 rated and there’s an IP67 version as required.

Installation and configuration of the Milesight Ultrasonic Distance/Level Sensor EM500-UDL is also easy. You can use NFC to connect to the sensor via a smartphone and the Toolbox app.

Also the device supports the MileSight IoT Cloud platform. You can connect and control the sensor to it and make it part of a bigger Internet of Things system. The interface features a lot of easy to use functions and widgets. There’s also the possibility to access it via a web browser or a mobile app for easy and convenient remote monitoring.
